Bridge is a desktop app that reads a brokerage account and writes the transactions into your Portle ledger. It reads only. It cannot place or change an order.

One broker is finished and checked against a real account: Toss Securities. Bridge runs on macOS today.
Bridge runs on your computer. Your broker credentials stay in the operating system keychain on that machine and never reach a Portle server.

What do I need before installing Bridge?
Install Portle on your phone and create a ledger in Google Drive first. Bridge writes to a Google Sheets ledger that the Portle app created. It cannot open a sheet you made by hand in Drive, because its Google permission only reaches files Portle made.
Then issue API credentials on the Toss Securities developer page. Toss Securities only accepts calls from IP addresses you register, so Bridge shows this computer’s public address for you to add. Register it again if your router or connection changes.
What does Bridge write to my ledger?
Bridge shows the whole first import before anything is written, and nothing is written until you approve it. After that, each sync adds only new transactions. Transactions already in your ledger are left alone, and entries that would conflict with your own rows are held for review instead of written.
Toss Securities does not provide deposits or withdrawals through its API, so Bridge does not write cash movements. Enter deposits yourself and compare the cash balance with the broker. Sync runs only while your computer is on. Nothing runs in the cloud.
